In the 1950s, American audiences fell in love with the character, June Cleaver of "Leave It to Beaver," the loveable stay-at-home mom who wore an apron, adorned with pearls and high heels around the house.
Well fast forward to the new millennium, and Alexis Bellino has put a new spin on the term "housewife" as a cast member of Bravo's highly-rated reality show, "Real Housewives of Orange County." Since joining the show in Season 5, audiences have been invited in Alexis' inner circle, and watch as she balances the friendships and fights of her BFFs and frenemies. On the show, Alexis leads a glamorous life of cocktail parties, red-carpet events and fun trips, while blinging with jewels and designer duds.
Still, off screen, she's not one to forsake her Midwestern roots and values. Alexis is proud to be a wife, a mother and a devoted Christian. She resides in the San Juan Capistrano with her husband, Jim, and three young children -- 6-year-old James and 4-year-old twins, Melania and Mackenna.
A mom by day, and a reality star by night, still, Alexis' true passion is fashion. She is the designer of two ready-to-wear dress lines: Alexis Couture and Alexis Tal by Sheyn. In creating the brands, she wanted to bring sexy, stylish and affordable fashions to the everyday, modern American woman as well as the global marketplace.
As a child, Alexis always had a love affair with beauty and fashion. She remembers highlighting her hair at the tender age of 12, (of course, tanning) and keeping a journal of her wardrobe to avoid repeating an outfit throughout the month. Ironically, the Hannibal, Missouri native was often mistaken as a "California" girl.
In March 2012, Alexis realized a dream when she debuted her eponymous fashion line, Alexis by Tal Sheyn in collaboration with fashion designer Tal Sheyn under the white tents of LA Fashion Weekend at the Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood. The fashion show was carried live to millions of households on LA's CW network, KTLA-TV.
With the success of "Real Housewives of Orange County," the show has afforded Alexis many opportunities to branch out into other areas of the entertainment industry, including an acting stint on the Daytime Emmy-winning daytime drama, "General Hospital" as well as a gig as an entertainment correspondent on KSWB-TV/FOX 5 morning show in San Diego.
Also, Alexis has been a guest on a plethora of television shows, including the "Today Show," "Dr. Oz," "Dr. Drew," CNN's "Showbiz Tonight," Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live," E! Entertainment's " E! News" and "TMZ Live" - just to name a few. Plus, she's appeared in various magazines, including the popular entertainment weeklies, like People, Us Magazine, In Touch Weekly, and Star publications.
